QUESTIONS DURING PRE-PROPOSAL MEETING:

During the pre-proposal meeting several questions were raised. Each question and answer is provided below:

1. What is the timeframe for this job?

Answer: 90 days from the Notice to Proceed. Exact start date is not available and is flexible due to the concrete cure and lead time.

2. Can an inspection be done on the bridge at another location and the Vendor be paid for the bridge if install is delayed?

Answer: Yes if certain criteria is met, this can be done with the approval of the Contracting Officer.

3. Who inspects the pre-cast items?

Answer: The COR will inspect the pre-cast items. Inspections, certification, material test reports will be required from the pre-case manufacturer.

4. Will we be allowed to use the Windy Point and Murdie Pit Rock Sources?

Answer: Yes, as shown in the SCR – Attachment 1, 251 Riprap may be used from Windy Point. Materials at the pit that are unsuitable should be purchased from a commercial source.

NOTE: This information has been updated since the pre-bid meeting.

5. What submittals are required for this project?

Answer: Refer to Attachment 1 – Page 6

6. What are weather expectations?

Answer: We expect the monsoons to begin soon.

7. Where do we dispose of waste materials?

Answer: Refer to Attachment 2 – General Notes and SCR Section 203.

OTHER INFORMATION:

There is an existing headgate near the bridge. This headgate must remain untouched.

Vendors should pay special attention to Sections L and M of the solicitation and the date and time responses are due.
