Attachment 7 – Questions and Answers Amendment 0001

Q1: Is the new equipment to match the existing equipment regarding capacity, voltage, flow, Btuh, etc.?

A1: In the Statement of Work, Division 15, Section 1530 Heating Equipment, Section 1551 Hot Water, Condensate Piping & Division 16 Section 1605, Electrical Systems will have all the specifications you are needing.

Q2: Does the facility have an existing DDC controls contractor?

A2: No.

Q3: Is everything independent or is there a Building Management System they need tied into?

A3: Independent

Q4: Is the new boiler and HHW controls system to match the existing one?

A4: Yes

a. Can a sequence of operations be provided?

When unit heaters call for heating circulation pumps will turn on, when unit temp is satisfied unit heaters and circulation pumps will shut off.

Q5: Please verify which of the two existing exhaust fans get removed.

A5: West exhaust fan behind air compressor

Q6: Please verify the location of the new supply fan considering the location of the existing electrical panels.

A6: West wall of boiler room, southside of walk-in door above the conduit that runs horizontally along that west wall

Q7: Is the combustion air connection on the new boiler to be left open or do you want PVC attached like the existing with filters attached?

A7: PVC attached like existing with filters attached

Q8: Does the existing system consist of a glycol/water mix, if so what it the mixture percentage?

A8: Yes & 60/40 mixture

Q9: We did not see a pot feeder or chemical feeder during the walkthrough. Is there an existing feeder? Is so can you provide the information?

A9: One is not needed
