Q1: Is the SWWP to be included in the proposal or provided after award?

A1: Reference page 36 of the solicitation – AGAR 452.215-71. SWWP is one of the documents required to be submitted.

Q2: Is there any broader spec book for this project, similar to the 156 page spec book offered with Red Bluff Phase 2?

A2: Reference bottom left hand corner of the 1st page of the Gooseneck Plans – states FP14 will be the governing specifications. There are various construction notes throughout the plans.

Q3: Should all aggregate conform to the MODOT spec book? I didn’t see anything regarding the Type 3 gradation.

A3: The gradation only of the aggregate base may conform to the requirements of the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission’s current edition of the Missouri Standard Specifications for Highway Construction, Section 1007.3.2, Type 5 Aggregate, found at https://www.modot.org/missouri-standard-specifications-highway-construction. Conform to the requirements of Subsections 703.05(a) and 703.05(b) for all other properties. Submit the request according to Subsection 301.03.”

The gradation only of the aggregate surface course may conform to the requirements of the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission’s current edition of the Missouri Standard Specifications for Highway Construction, Section 1006.3, Grade A, found at https://www.modot.org/missouri-standard-specifications-highway-construction . Conform to the requirements of Subsections 703.05(a) and 703.05(c) for all other properties. Submit the request according to Subsection 301.03.”

Aggregate used for this project will conform to MODOT aggregate specifications for quality and gradation as approved by CO. This will allow for locally available aggregate for this project.

Q4: For the precast box culverts, would the government accept a box culvert with a 0 degree skew, or less than 9 degree skew?

A4: The skew as designed is important for alignment with the channel. As far as the length goes, if it has to be increased from the proposed 22’ to 24’, that will be fine.

If the contractor decides to fabricate the longer length then this will be at no extra cost to the government in unit prices and this extra length will need to be included in the 22’ unit price.
