Solicitation 12505B21S1031095, Waste Tank Upgrades

Question: How many feet between junction box (j-box) and the indicator to estimate quantity of cable per tank?

Answer: Longest run is roughly 50 feet from the existing scale indicator to the J-box at the tank. Shortest run is roughly 40 feet.

Question: You mentioned in the Statement of Work “standard communication ports” will this be anything other than a RS-232?

Answer: Standard communications ports, RS-232/485/422. New unit needs to have a card slot option for fiber optic, Ethernet TCP/IP or Ethernet TCP/IP Wireless, USB or RS-232/485/422.

Questions: Other than the tanks being connected to the indicators, will there be anything else the technician will be required to connect? (i.e. alarms, sirens, lights, computer, remote display, etc.) (We need to know in order for the tech to be prepared with all the right equipment) Answer: Other than what is stated in the Statement of Work, no. The new system “shall have multiple digital I/O for additional alarm points”, per the SOW. These will be installed in the future by USDA personnel.
