AMENDMENT 2: Q & A

Solicitation #: 1240BH23R0024 Thorne Bay Duplex Renovations

The following are questions received from prospective offerors. The Government’s responses are in green:

12. There were garbage disposals at the duplex, but they are not referenced on the plan set.

Are these to be retained, replaced or omitted? Existing are to be retained if functional.

If non-functional, they can be omitted.

13. Apparently there are unit heaters in both garage areas, are these to be replaced? How are they controlled? They will be left in place. Appears just to be controlled by Aquastat.

14. What is the age of the existing fuel tank to be drained and painted. IF this is an older tank it may be in the GOV interest to replace? Age is unknown, but tank appears to be in good condition.

15. Can we get a size of the existing tank (gallons) and any other specifics if the decision is made to replace? 500 gallons. As tank appears to be in good condition, replacement is not a consideration at this stage.

16. Would heat pex be acceptable to use for the hydronic system in the walls and ceiling spaces (basically any place that there is not exposed hydronic piping). Yes
