Quesons and Answers--#12405B23R0017: Greenhouse Remodel:

1. Is it acceptable to have a superintendent cover supervision, QA/QC, and safety dues? Or do we need 1 person for each responsibility? The contractor is responsible for making this determinaon.

2. Are contractors required to issue a contract specific QA/QC Plan? Yes

3. Are contractors required to issue a contract specific Safety Plan? Yes

4. As it is typical for federal enes to not pay taxes for their facilies and properes on their projects, will this project be tax exempt for materials and equipment? If so, will you provide the successful contractor on this proposal with tax-exempon cerficaon for material and equipment items furnished for this project? The Federal Government is TAX EXEMPT--contractors are not.

5. Scope of work document states 180 days to complete aer NTP; RFP #1442 states mandatory 60 days for performance. 60 days for the period of performance is unfeasible. Please clarify. 180 days is correct.

6. Base bid scope of work calls for replacement of side vents and operators; Bid Opon #3 also asks for the same items to be replaced. Which is correct, base bid or bid opon? Base Bid

7. Bid opon #3 calls for the replacement of the ridge vents and operators. It is very unlikely that polycarbonate panels can successfully be glazed into the existing vent frames. This item likely needs to move to the base bid. Please advise. See response to question 6. -Move to base bid.
