About this file

This document provides details for a federal solicitation seeking hazardous fuels reduction and forest health restoration services on National Forest System lands within the Plumas National Forest in California. Mandatory work includes mechanically cutting, piling, skidding, decking and piling trees from 6 inches in diameter up that can reach roadsides and recreation sites across seven units totaling 3,075 acres. Optional work involves similar treatments in three additional units totaling 289 acres. The solicitation also includes an optional item for removing Timber Subject to Agreement. Prospective contractors can attend an upcoming pre-solicitation site visit in mid-August to facilitate discussions. Final solicitation documents will be posted to SAM.gov in mid-August with response due dates and further technical specifications. Multiple awards are anticipated from the Plumas Stewardship Integrated Resource Service Contract to be issued by the Department of Agriculture Forest Service.
