Lower Deadfall-Eddy Creek Trail Restoration Projects Amendment 2, Page 2 of 2 Dated 09/7/2022

2. Strike Bullet 3 starting with the words “A curb/bumper shall be installed” in Section C.5 – Technical Specifications, under subheading Lower Deadfall Meadows Trail (NSF Trail 6W05) and replace with the following.

· Curb/bumper and scupper blocks shall be installed using marine grade PVC composite decking material or redwood lumber on each side of the boardwalk for its entire length.

3. Add the following Bullet to Section C.5 – Technical Specifications, under subheading Lower Deadfall Meadows Trail (NSF Trail 6W05):

· Material utilized for the decking, scupper blocks and curbs shall be either marine grade PVC or redwood lumber. Mixing materials in the construction of these building elements is prohibited.

4. Share answers to the following questions.

Question 1: I see that it is mentioned multiple places there will be a 175 LF Boardwalk in the description and in the schedule of items. But, I do not see it mentioned in the description where the 350 LF Boardwalk with the curb will be. I only see it in the schedule of items. Can you help me understand more about this line on the schedule of items?

Answer: There is one elevated boardwalk to be constructed, total length 175 feet – Item 2 within the Schedule of Items. The curb is priced separately under Item 3 within the Schedule of Items. Since curb is to be installed along both sides of the boardwalks, total quantity is 350 LF (175 LF X 2).

Question 2: The schedule of items states there are 10 climbing turns and 2400 LF. With this line item, I understand that each climbing turn is 240 LF. Is what I understand correct?

Answer: The Schedule of Items provides an estimated quantity for the total linear feet to be constructed. The actual quantity of climbing turn constructed will be field fit to suit the topography and slope; some turns may be longer than 240 LF and some shorter. The 2400 LF total was our best estimate and is the maximum LF that will be constructed without a modification to the contract.

RESPONDENTS SHALL ACKNOWLEDGE RECEIPT OF THIS AMENDMENT BY ONE OF THE METHODS OUTLINED IN BLOCK 11 OF THE SF-30 FORM. DEADLINE FOR RECEIPT OF QUOTES REMAINS UNCHANGED.
