Questions & Answers for 1232SA25Q0153

1. Re, "2) Single piece 32-foot composite upper flight deck, how wide do you want the flight deck? What is the takeoff weight drone for this flight deck? Will the drone need to also land on the flight deck? Rather than answer these, if you just stated which drone(s) you plan to use, we could figure these all out ourselves.

No less than 7.5 feet wide upper and lower deck. Drone will need to land on the deck. Upper deck should also be able to support 3 persons simultaneously while launching and landing the drone. We will operate 2 Hylio ARES-150 drones off of the upper deck.

2. What chemicals do the 1,000 Gallon tank and the inductor tank need to rated for?

Pesticides (specifically herbicides).

3. Re, "12) Trailer height: 13 feet, 2 inches," is that "maximum height," the exact height you want the flight deck, or both?

13’ 2” is the maximum height from the ground to the top of the handrail of the pilot protection area on the upper deck. The upper deck should be no less than 8.5 feet from the ground.

4. Would you happen to have any technical drawings or reference materials available that illustrate what the government envisions for the trailer's design and specifications?

Aside from the specifications provided in the package, there are no other technical drawings, however, examples may be found when searching open market for Agricultural Drone Trailers. Overall, the trailer should be a bumper-pull flatbed trailer with an upper deck.

5. What lead time is required for delivery? 1 month? 3 months? 6 months? Will there be a preference given for quotes with earlier delivery? Longer lead time will enable better value to USDA ARS AFM APD.

Maximum allowable lead time is 90 days.

6. Has the USDA ARS AFM APD or AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH SERVICE purchased ag drone trailers in the past? Make & model? Price? This is a new requirement, there is no past procurement history.

A purchase of this nature has not previously been made to my knowledge.

7. Re, "22-foot trailer," that is the total overall length of the trailer, i.e., tip of the tongue to rear of the bumper?

22 feet is the length of the lower deck itself, not inclusive of the trailer tongue. There is also an upper deck which we want to be 32 feet.
