Questions and Answers 12305B23R0042 1104396 Install Epoxy Flooring System
Question 1: It is relatively difficult to determine the actual total square footage of the project because of the non-clarity of some of the attachments. Please provide the square footage of each building, to allow the calculation of the total square footage.
Answer 1:
1. B1080 1080sqft
2. B1082 1080sqft
3. B1083 1080sqft
4. B1182 2625sqft
5. B1194 1787sqft
6. B1207 1875sqft
7. B1381 384sqft
8. B1382 384sqft
9. B1383 384sqft
10. B229, Rm#101 1568sqft
11. B229, Rm#102 1568sqft
Question 2: The spec looks fine for some of the buildings, but the spec is not what's needed in 229 and the 1380's building. The animal feces and the chemicals used need a heavier coating that will last long and more slip resistant since it's sloped. Recommend using a product like urethane cement with a urethane topcoat.
Answer 2: Contractor to provide alternate pricing for recommended upgrade.
Question 3: Do you want to cove base up the wall? In building 1081 that is done it has a cove base, but spec doesn't call for it.
Answer 3: Contractor to provide alternate pricing for cove base upgrade.
Question 4: If you drill holes in 1080 you will see that it's impossible to patch them without putting another coat of quartz and epoxy on the floor.
Answer 4: Contractor to provide alternate pricing for second coat & epoxy.
Question 5: Will each line item be a separate trip, or can we buckle some of them together?
Answer 5: These buildings used for housing animals. Sometimes they occupied or vacant at different time of year.
Question 6: One building had caught fire. Will that area be fixed or are we doing the floor part first before the repair?
Answer 6: Floor part is a first and for curing purpose contractor needs to figure out option.
Question 7: Do all these buildings have heat? As we get closer to winter, we will need heat to get the product to cure properly.
Answer 7: Some of the buildings have heat. For other buildings contractor needs to figure out source of heat to cure
