AMENDMENT #1

ROCK CREEK TRAIL BRIDGE REPLACEMENT PROJECT

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS #1

The Following questions have been received via email:

1. Question: Can small excavators, skid steers, and UTV's drive down the trail Answer: No, the two trails (Trail #580 on the south side of the lake, and Trail #502 on the north side of the lake) leading to the bridge site are inaccessible for small excavators, skid steers, and UTV’s. This is a backcountry bridge location. The expectation is that supplies and materials will be flown in or packed in. Depending on the reservoir elevation, supplies, materials, and personnel can also boat up the reservoir. At full pool the reservoir is within a tenth of a mile from the bridge site. In September though, the reservoir level could be a couple of miles from the bridge location.

2. Question: Can we use a UTV with a trailer to transport material to the project site?

Answer: No, the trails do not accommodate UTV’s and trailers.

3. Question: Will an ATV (with trailer or without) be able to bring supplies?

Answer: No, the trails do not accommodate ATV’s with or without trailers.

4. Question: Will a motorcycle be allowed to bring supplies if the ATV won't?

Answer: Motorcycle use on the trail on the south side of the lake (Trail # 580 ) will be allowed to transport people and supplies with approval from the CO.
