About this file

This document is an amendment to a solicitation for large airtanker services. The amendment provides 21 revisions to the solicitation, including updates to aircraft inspection and approval requirements, maintenance program requirements, and pre-use inspection procedures. Offerors must now have Interagency Airtanker Board full approval or interim approval for offered aircraft. Additional aircraft proposed under the agreement must complete inspection and approval by May 31, 2020 or the line item will be terminated. The amendment also modifies aircraft airworthiness and maintenance record submission requirements. The pre-use inspection window remains between February 1 and May 31 each year. The Forest Service intends to award multiple basic ordering agreements for call-when-needed large airtanker services to approved contractors.
