Item Question USDA FS Response 1 Do you have plans? No plans provided.

Do you actually want 6'X40' bridge on 86'8'sections? The RFQ is to provide 5 prefabricated light to medium-duty aluminum trail bridges for pedestrian and UTV use. The trail bridges are all 6-ft in width. The length are one at 20-ft, two at 24-ft, and one 36-ft and one 40-ft.

How do you plan to erect a 40' bridge on site after you drag in ny horse back in 8' sections?

The RFQ does not include assembly and or erection. The RFQ requires the delivery of the trail bridge framing and assembly with parts and framing not to exceed 8-ft in length for remote transportation by horse or UTV. The trail bridges will be erected in the field, onsite by hand by employees and volunteers.

4 I assume you want railings Yes.

5 How high? Minimum 42-inches.

6 ADA compliant Handrails must meet the minium 42-inch height requirements.

If you have any sample photos of previous bridges put into service so I can get a better idea in the quoting process??

No sample photos.

Would bridge stake kits be required for solicitation? Is there a special decking material that the end user would prefer? The standard would be pressure treated 2” x 6” wood.

Yes the bridge stake kit is required, is decking standard with the Bridge kit?, the District was going to provide the decking.

Would it be acceptable for the support bars to be the total length of 8’3”? What is the standard support bar size for the bridges in the Specifications?

Did the end user state on their preference for the decking? We could quote anything from ¾” plywood, aluminum plate or the standard 2”x 6” x 8’ treated plywood.

The District is planning on providing the deck.
