RESPONSES TO VENDOR QUESTIONS #2

VENDOR QUESTION 1 We are not seeing a reference to FDA owning a SoDA license from an entitlement perspective. Do you have any insight into this?

FDA RESPONSE 1: FDA purchased the SODA license through the Rationale Analyst Studio Package in 2003. We have not paid Maintenance and Support Fees since 2004. Due to a lapse in annual and maintenance support services the FDA has decided to buy a new license. Please note changes to line item 2 in Attachment A. We are now purchasing Product # D532PLL instead of the Product #: E013DLL.

VENDOR QUESTION 2: With reference to Steady State Tasks 1 through 3, RFP calls for professional services, specifically:

a. Standard technical support includes but not limited to day-to-day support for admin activities, ReqPro, SoDA, BIRT tools. It includes conversion of SoDA reports to BIRT reports.

b. Troubleshooting, interface and integration of RationalPro, SoDA, and BIRT tools with other testing tools shall be provided by the contractor;

However, in Attachment A quote for the same task seems to be requesting for pricing for product and product maintenance only. Kindly clarify how would you like us to provide pricing for the services called for in these tasks.

FDA RESPONSE 2:

The above bullets have been removed. The FDA is not seeking additional professional services for Steady State tasks 1-3. The Vendor should provide product pricing as shown in Attachment A.

VENDOR QUESTION 3:

In regards to VPAT submission are you expecting documentation from IBM for RequisitePro and SoDA?

FDA RESPONSE 3:

Vendors should provide VPATs for IBM's Requisite Pro and SODA products and any proposed "equal to" item.

VENDOR QUESTION 4:

Feedback to assist with scope –

a. What is the backend Database (DB)/version and is that DB version being upgraded as well ?

b. Is the data remaining on the same server or moving to new hardware?

c. Is the RP projects in a single DB schema or does each project have it's own DB schema?

d. What is the current RequisitePro environment integrated with? eg. Rational TestManager or Rational ClearQuest

FDA RESPONSE 4:

a. The backend Database is Oracle 10g, version 10.2.0.4 It is not being upgraded at this time.

b. The data is moving to new hardware.

c. The RequisitePro projects are in a single schema,

d. They are integrated with Rational TestManager and Rational ClearQuest.

VENDOR QUESTION 5: Is Soda generating reports from RequisitePro and Rational modeling tools?

FDA RESPONSE 5: Yes

VENDOR QUESTION 6:

How many back-end databases are currently in production to support the existing 30 RequisitePro Projects?

FDA RESPONSE 6:

The migration is not currently on a project schedule, but it is not expected to multiple years to complete. The Oracle 10g 10.4.0.2 database supports the RequisitePro projects.

VENDOR QUESTION 7:

For IDIQ Task 5 on page 10 of solicitation is it possible for us receive copies of one or more typical SoDA Template and associated reports?
