1. As requested by reference (a), the following interim hazard classifications are assigned:
a. Nomenclature: T-6 Aircraft Thin Layer Explosive (TLX) Line, P/N 7009200-01, packaged one per bag, with up to 100 bags per fiberboard box, dunnage will separate the layers of bags within the box as well as bags from the top, bottom, and sides of the box. The end tips of each line will be capped with either plastic or aluminum end caps
(1) DOD Hazard Classification: 1.4S
(2) DOT Hazard Classification: 1.4S
(3) DOT Label: Explosive 1.4S
(4) UN Number: 0367
(5) Proper Shipping Name: FUZES, DETONATING

NOTE: Any combination of the above P/Ns from 1a through 1j can be packed in the same fiberboard box.
k. Nomenclature: T-6 Aircraft Thin Layer Explosive (TLX) Line Kit, NSN 1377-01-670- 1905, Universal Propulsion Company P/N 7009600-01, each TLX line shall be packaged one per bag, with ten lines making up this kit, and up to ten kits can be packaged in a fiberboard box. The end tips of each line will be capped with either plastic or aluminum end caps

2. These interim hazard classifications expire 31 December 2021. A copy of this letter and references (b) and (c) must accompany each shipment. These configurations have met the UN Test 6(d) criteria.
3. These classifications are assigned in accordance with reference (d) as authorized by reference (b). They are granted for the shipment of explosives and ammunition on behalf of the Department of Defense (DOD). They are not applicable for shipment of materials by private contractors for non-DOD contracts. Should final hazard classifications be needed for these or any other items, consult the requirements of reference (d). Any change to an item design or packaging requires a reexamination by the undersigned.
4. Items that contain lithium batteries and are intended for use, storage, or transportation on Navy facilities, submarines, ships, vessels, or aircraft must be reviewed in accordance with reference (e). For additional information regarding this issue, please contact:

5. Consult reference (b) for specific exemptions from the hazardous material requirements of reference (f). These classifications do not relieve the shipper from complying with any other requirements of reference (f), including, but not limited to, packaging, electromagnetic radiation, and electrostatic requirements.
