About this file
This is a Drug-Free Workplace Certification Form required by Florida Statute 287.087 for the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners' Mobile Welding Services contract opportunity. The form serves as a compliance document that vendors must complete and sign to certify adherence to drug-free workplace requirements. The three-year contract, valued at $207,429.10, involves providing mobile welding and fabrication services for minor facility repairs on equipment including roll-off containers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and stationary cranes at the Solid Waste Management Department's South County Facility locations on an as-needed basis.
By executing this form, the vendor certifies implementation of six mandatory requirements: publishing a workplace statement prohibiting controlled substance manufacture, distribution, dispensing, possession, or use; informing employees of drug abuse dangers and available assistance programs; distributing the statement to all employees engaged in contract work; requiring employees to notify the employer of drug-related convictions within five days; imposing sanctions or requiring participation in rehabilitation programs for violations; and maintaining ongoing good-faith efforts to sustain a drug-free workplace. This certification demonstrates the contractor's commitment to maintaining a compliant workforce throughout the contract period and is a prerequisite for bid consideration.
