About this file

This is a Notice of Call for Bids issued by the Metropolitan Airports Commission for the 2026 Terminal 1 Tug Drive Waterproofing project in Minnesota. The project represents the second phase of a four-part waterproofing initiative to completely remove and recoat the Terminal 1 Tug Drive with new waterproofing materials. The scope of work includes installation of temporary full-height polyethylene enclosures for each phased work area, traffic control measures, removal and relocation of furnishings, expansion joint control, application of new waterproofing and pavement markings, concrete repair to both the concrete topping and structural slab as needed, and replacement of mechanical piping and floor drains. Bidders must submit proposals by the specified due date, with the project awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.

The contract will be awarded based on competitive bidding to a qualified contractor capable of executing the waterproofing work according to specifications. Funding for this project is provided through the Metropolitan Airports Commission's capital improvement budget. All bidders must comply with applicable prevailing wage requirements and other regulatory obligations. The project is part of a larger, multi-year waterproofing program designed to extend the service life of the Terminal 1 facility and maintain operational safety and functionality of the tug drive area.
