About this file

This document is a Description of Requirement (DOR) for an Environmental Chamber for Soil Additive Testing. The U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) Geotechnical and Structures Laboratory (GSL) requires one Cincinnati Sub Zero (CSZ) Model ZPH-8-2-SCT/AC Temperature/Humidity Test Chamber with Tundra system capable of performing extreme temperature and humidity cycling. The chamber must be automated with appropriate data collection software, and shipping and installation costs must be included. The DOR provides detailed specifications for the required equipment, including temperature range, humidity range, pull-down and heat-up performance, and other features.

The related federal contract opportunity is a Request for Quote (RFQ) under Solicitation Number W912HZ22Q1218, issued by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers ERDC. The requirement is unrestricted under NAICS Code 334519, with a size standard of 600 employees. Offers are due by June 11, 2024, and the Government intends to evaluate offers and award a contract without discussions. The award will be made to the responsible offeror with the Lowest Price that is determined to meet the minimum technical requirements.

Description of Requirement

Environmental Chamber for Soil Additive Testing

The Geotechnical and Structures Laboratory (GSL) of the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) at Waterways Experiment Station requires one Cincinnati Sub Zero (CSZ) Model ZPH-8-2-SCT/AC Temperature/Humidity Test Chamber with Tundra system capable of performing extreme temperature and humidity cycling. A complete testing system capable of performing both tests is required. The testing equipment must be automated with appropriate data collection software.

Shipping and installation costs must be included in the proposal.

Basic equipment and ancillary components required for the CSZ Model ZPH-8-2-SCT/AC Temperature/Humidity Test Chamber to meet the above requirements are as follows:
