Text version

HIGH REPETITION RATE FIBER-PUMPED MICRO LASER CONFIGURATION/SPECIFICATIONS

Laser Head Form/Size: Cylinder with diameter less than or equal to 0.75 inches (exclusive of mounting flange(s)) and length less than or equal to 1.5 inches (exclusive of pump fiber and connector).

Laser Pulse Energy: >250 uJ Laser Peak Power: >50 kW Beam Quality M2: <1.5 Laser Wavelength: 1700 > λ > 1050 Continuous Pulse Repetition Rate: > 100 Hz Pump Diode Interface: >1 m multimode fiber with SMA or similar connector on pump diode end. Fiber may be permanently affixed to the laser head.

Laser Head Environmental: Laser head, except for the output window, must be operational while immersed in a dielectric oil (Diala etc.) or an inert gas at up to 100 psig. The end application system will make provision for sealing the window from the dielectric oil or high-pressure gas and the beam path will be in an inert gas at atmospheric pressure.

Pump Diode Environment: Pump laser diode must be operational in a lab atmosphere environment over a standard commercial temperature range (approx. 0 to 40 °C). Pump diode must include necessary thermal management to maintain the required pump wavelength over this external temperature range.
