SECTION 1: GENERAL INFORMATION

1.1 INTRODUCTION

The State of Oregon, acting by and through the Department of Transportation, (“Agency”), is issuing this Request for Proposals for distracted driving presentations.

Distracted driving is a dangerous behavior for drivers, passengers, and non-occupants alike.

Distraction is a specific type of inattention that occurs when drivers divert their attention from the driving task to focus on some other activity instead per the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (“NHTSA”). The awarded Proposer will create a distracted driving awareness presentation that includes current national and statewide distracted driving data, along with the dangers of distracted driving, and personal experiences with a distracted driver crash. The awarded Proposer must have the ability to deliver presentations both in-person and virtually

Additional details on the Scope of the goods or services or both are included in the Scope of Work section.

Agency anticipates the award of one Contract from this RFP. The initial term of the Contract is anticipated to be 1 year.
