UNSPSC 31132804: Cold forged heat treated and cold sized magnesium forging

Forging made of magnesium that is forged at a cold temperature and has been heat treated and cold sized

UNSPSC 31132804 Cold forged heat treated and cold sized magnesium forging is a Commodity code with no recent state and local procurement activity in the available record.

The absence of posted opportunities under this code does not reflect buying inactivity across the broader magnesium forging and metal component space — state and local agencies routinely procure fabricated metals, machined parts, and forgings through higher-tier Family and Class codes, as well as through cooperative purchasing vehicles and standing blanket orders with industrial suppliers. However, this specific commodity — cold forged, heat treated, and cold sized magnesium forgings — does not appear in recent state and local solicitations. When magnesium components do surface in government procurement, they typically arrive as sub-tier line items embedded in larger assemblies, equipment procurements, or capital goods contracts rather than as standalone material purchases. Firms pursuing this code should monitor broader metal fabrication and aerospace-component family codes for upstream opportunities in which magnesium forgings may be specified as a required input.
