For the purchase of misc. food items to be used by Dept of Engineering - Student Orgs - (H-STEM)…

James Madison University in Virginia awarded contract PO05490374 to Walmart on October 6, 2026, with a cumulative value of $56.00. The prime contractor will supply miscellaneous food items designated for use by the Department of Engineering Student Organizations, specifically supporting the Hispanics in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (H-STEM) initiative and the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers. The single line item specifies a quantity of one unit at a unit price of $56.24, with delivery to Fasha Strange.

The contract represents a modest procurement focused on supporting student organization activities within the engineering department. While the award documentation does not specify an explicit contract performance period or detailed scope of work beyond the food procurement description, the transaction was completed as a spot purchase or short-term supply agreement. No annual value is separately identified in the award documentation, indicating this is a single transaction rather than a multi-year or recurring contract vehicle.
