Northern Virginia Community College awarded a contract to Beckstrom Electric Co Inc on September 8, 2026, for electrical infrastructure improvements at the institution's upper plaza facility in Virginia. The cumulative contract value is $12,420.00. The scope of work encompasses the supply, installation, and wiring of one new electrical conduit extending from an existing distribution box to a newly installed in-ground box positioned in the mulch layer above existing underground conduits. Delivery of services is directed to Cindy Bullard.

The project addresses existing power distribution issues affecting lighting systems in the upper plaza area. The contract includes provisions for underground boring operations, concrete cutting as required, and locating both private and missed utilities to ensure safe installation. The work is designed to intercept and utilize existing conduit infrastructure while establishing new distribution capacity for the plaza's electrical requirements.
