Southwest Virginia Community College awarded a contract to Mary Elizabeth Cook on July 16, 2026, for a single presentation addressing dysphagia and swallowing disorders in older adults. The engagement emphasizes collaborative practice between occupational therapy and speech-language pathology disciplines. The contract, identified as PO05410303, is valued at one hundred twenty-five dollars ($125.00) and represents a one-time service delivery. The presentation was delivered to Tammy Austin at the Virginia-based institution.

This minimal-value contract reflects a consulting or professional services arrangement typical of educational institutions requiring specialized instructional content. The cumulative contract value of $125.00 suggests this represents either a single presentation event or a limited engagement rather than an ongoing service relationship. As a Virginia state contract, this award falls under the Commonwealth's procurement authority and reflects the College's investment in continuing education or professional development programming related to geriatric healthcare and interprofessional collaboration.
