The Virginia Department of Forensic Science awarded a contract to ANSI National Accreditation Board LLC on July 8, 2026, with a cumulative value of $6,400.00. The contract encompasses two primary deliverables: an International Organization for Standardization/International Electrotechnical Commission (ISO/IEC) 17025 location evaluation assessment valued at $3,900.00, and an ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) Forensic Technical Assessor Course scheduled for July 13-17, 2026, valued at $2,500.00. Both line items are to be delivered to Amanda Ragan.

The ANAB Forensic Technical Assessor Course is anticipated to accommodate approximately 15 attendees and represents the Department's investment in workforce development and technical competency certification. The ISO/IEC 17025 location evaluation assessment will assess the Department's conformance to international standards for laboratory competence. Together, these services support the Department of Forensic Science's objectives to maintain accreditation standards and enhance the technical expertise of its personnel.
