Service call request for BAS ahus lost comm with tracer inital assessment: rahu-1 was not…

Trane has been awarded contract PO05396356 by Central State Hospital in Virginia, with an award date of July 2, 2026. The contract covers service call and troubleshooting work for Building Automation System (BAS) air handling units (AHUs) that experienced communication failures with the Building Control Unit (BCU). The specific work involved diagnostic assessment and repair of RAHU-1, which was not operating as intended due to lost configuration settings between the air handler and its control interface.

The service delivery included remote troubleshooting, configuration data transfer from a functioning unit (RAHU-2) to the non-operational unit (RTU-1), and reprogramming of the Tracer control system. Upon completion, RTU-1 was restored to proper operational status with the Building Automation System reading and controlling functions functioning as designed. The contractor's assessment identified a potentially failed memory chip as the underlying cause and recommended monitoring for recurrence following power losses, with no additional work quoted at the time of service completion.
