Beyond Boundaries has been awarded a contract by the Virginia Rehabilitation Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired (VRCBVI) with a cumulative value of $9,975.00. The contract encompasses whitewater rafting instruction and training services delivered across four separate sessions during June and July 2026. Two sessions are pool-based training programs conducted at the VRCBVI swimming pool located at 389 Azalea Avenue, scheduled for June 9th (12 participants) and July 23rd (up to 30 participants), with evening sessions from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Two additional sessions are river-based whitewater rafting experiences scheduled for June 12th (15 participants, departing at 1:15 PM from 42nd Street parking lot) and July 25th (30 participants, departing at 8:15 AM from the same location with pickup between 1:30 and 2:30 PM). The July 25th river session includes lunch provisions supplied by Beyond Boundaries.

The contract services are designed to support the LIFE 2026 program participants and staff. Deliverables are directed to Jeff Harner and encompass a total of 90 participant positions across the four training sessions. Unit pricing ranges from $56 to $194 per participant, with the pool training sessions priced at $56 to $58 per participant and the river sessions priced at $107 to $194 per participant, reflecting the increased complexity and resource requirements of river-based instruction compared to pool training.
