Old Dominion University awarded a contract to Prolific Academic Ltd on August 28, 2026, for the provision of participant recruitment services through the Prolific online research platform. The contract is valued at $1,733.33 and is being performed in Virginia. The primary service involves access to the Prolific platform, which enables researchers to post studies and recruit qualified participants for online research initiatives efficiently. The platform will be utilized specifically for recruiting participants for a quality-of-life outcomes study focused on Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) individuals, with data collection to be conducted via survey methodology. Deliverables are directed to Nicole Campbell at Old Dominion University.

The contract consists of two line items totaling $1,733.33: a platform access charge of $1,300.00 and platform fees of $433.33. These charges represent the costs associated with utilizing Prolific's participant recruitment infrastructure and administrative services for the specified research project. The relatively modest contract value reflects the short-term or limited-scope nature of the engagement, with the platform fees component covering ongoing service charges related to the recruitment function.
