The Science Museum of Virginia awarded contract PO05399454 to France Environmental, Inc. on July 7, 2026, with a total cumulative value of $509. The contract encompasses environmental consulting services related to asbestos assessment and management, to be delivered to Michael Butts. The scope of work includes labor services at pay rates ranging from $48.00 to $95.00 per hour, asbestos bulk sample and layer analysis with a 72-hour turnaround requirement, and project management and reporting services specific to asbestos sampling activities.

The contract deliverables consist of four labor hours at a unit price of $61 per hour, two asbestos bulk sample/layer analysis units at $9.75 each, and three hours of project management and reporting services at $82 per hour. No specific contract performance period is identified in the award documentation. The relatively modest contract value of $509 suggests this procurement represents either a limited scope engagement or a task order against an existing agreement for specialized environmental compliance services.
