Amazon.com has been awarded a contract by Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) for the procurement of electronic components and accessories. The contract was executed on August 28, 2026, and carries a cumulative value of $440. The award encompasses six line items totaling one unit of measure each, except for one item with a quantity of two units. The components include hook and loop tape ($4.39), a USB Near Field Communication reader ($64.20), a Raspberry Pi 5 Kit with 8GB random-access memory ($209.89), a 256GB Ultra microSD card ($59.99), a 5-inch touchscreen monitor ($45.59), and two 4-megapixel Universal Serial Bus cameras with 92-degree field of view ($27.99 each). All items are to be delivered to VCU Procurement in Virginia.

This contract represents a purchase of technical components consistent with educational or research application, likely supporting computing and sensor-based projects. The relatively modest contract value and single-transaction nature of the award indicate this to be a routine procurement for materials rather than a comprehensive service engagement. The contract was executed in Virginia, with all performance and delivery obligations centered at Virginia Commonwealth University's procurement office.
