10 to 20 kGy gammaIrradiation and 2 more items

Virginia Commonwealth University awarded a contract to Research Diets Inc. on August 7, 2026, with a cumulative value of $900. The contract, identified as A236_P0348850, calls for the delivery of specialized rodent dietary products and related services to VCU Procurement. The deliverables include twelve units of D09100310i rodent diet formulated with 40 kilocalorie fat content, priced at $52 per unit, along with gamma irradiation treatment services at a unit price of $250 for exposure levels between 10 to 20 kilogray.

The contract further requires five units of specially packaged 25-kilogram bags with individual labeling to facilitate proper handling and identification of the products upon delivery to Virginia Commonwealth University. All line items are designated for delivery to VCU Procurement, indicating that the products and services support the university's research or laboratory operations within Virginia. The specificity of the rodent diet formulation and gamma irradiation requirements suggests these materials support controlled laboratory research protocols requiring sterile or pathogen-reduced animal feed.
