The University of Virginia awarded contract A207_PO-0488544 to Amazon Capital Services, Inc. on October 6, 2026, for the procurement of commercial emergency lighting equipment. The contract, valued at twenty-one dollars, represents a single-line-item purchase order delivered to Timothy L. Gillispie. The awarded product consists of one TANLUX LED Emergency Light with Battery Backup, a commercial-grade emergency light fixture designed for use in business and residential applications during power failures, featuring a 1.0-meter plug-in cord, 120-volt alternating current (AC120V) operation, and Underwriters Laboratories (UL) listing certification.

This Virginia-based state and local contract award reflects a routine procurement of emergency safety equipment by the University of Virginia through its authorized purchasing mechanisms. The minimal contract value and single-unit quantity indicate this represents either an expedited purchase order or component of a broader procurement activity.
