The University of Virginia awarded a contract to Alicat Scientific Inc. on August 29, 2026, with a total contract value of $775. The award encompasses calibration and maintenance services for a pressure control device (Model PC3-500PSIG-D-PCA15, Serial Number 463283) with a specified pressure range of 50-250 pounds per square inch (PSI). The services include pressure recalibration, evaluation, low flow ultra-sonic cleaning, and valve replacement to address corrosion-related leakage issues identified during inspection.

Upon receipt inspection, the device was found to be functional with acceptable as-found calibration data; however, inspection revealed valve corrosion preventing successful leak checks. The corrective work scope involves replacing the corroded valve assembly and performing ultra-sonic cleaning to eliminate contaminants from the valve adapter. The contractor's inspection notes recommend annual recalibration following completion of the remedial services. This purchase order represents a single-line-item procurement conducted within the Commonwealth of Virginia.
