The University of Virginia awarded a contract to W W Grainger Inc on June 16, 2026, for the supply of water filtration equipment. The contract, designated A207_PO-0449494, carries a cumulative value of twenty-five dollars and covers the procurement of water filter cartridges designed to reduce dirt, rust, scale, sediment, and silt. The cartridges feature a 5-micron rating with a 4 gallons per minute flow rate, polypropylene filter media, and are manufactured with specific dimensional specifications (2.5-inch inside and outside diameter, 9.75-inch overall height) suitable for use with Whole brand filtration systems.

The order comprises three filter cartridge units at a unit price of $8.42 each, for delivery to Thomas Anthony Evatt. As a maintenance supply contract executed through Grainger, a major facilities maintenance and industrial supplier, this procurement supports the University of Virginia's operational infrastructure requirements in Virginia. The contract represents a routine, minimal-value supply acquisition typical of higher education institution facilities management operations.
