The University of Virginia awarded contract A207_PO-0306814-V3 to Cultural Insurance Services International on August 8, 2026, for the provision of insurance coverage services. The contract, valued at $865, encompasses travel insurance premiums for the Walker Scholar Program's Summer 2025 study abroad initiative in Scandinavia. The covered group consisted of 22 students and one faculty member participating in the program, with premiums calculated at $39.36 per covered individual.

The line item reflects insurance protection for the Walker Scholar Program participants during their summer academic engagement in Scandinavia. While the stated cumulative contract value of $865 appears to represent a discrepancy with the calculated insurance premium total of $905.28 referenced in the line item description, the contract represents a direct procurement of risk management services by the University of Virginia to protect its academic program participants during their international travel period.
