The contract, valued at $579.60, covers the procurement of two Grainger items classified under National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP) Code 45000. The first line item is priced at $579.60, while the second line item carries no cost. The procurement was processed through the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts' Statewide Procurement Division. As this purchase is for exclusive use by the state, the State of Texas claims exemption from all Federal Excise Taxes and state and city sales taxes under Texas Tax Code, Section 151.309(4). The specific nature of the Grainger items is not detailed in the available documentation; however, given the vendor's core business and the procurement classification, the items likely consist of maintenance, repair, or operational supplies required for institutional facilities management.
