Contract 26279532

CPS Energy (City Public Service, San Antonio), a Texas municipality, awarded a purchase order valued at $172.96 to W.W. Grainger, Inc. dba Grainger on June 20, 2026, under Texas contract TXMAS-25-45002. The procurement was processed through the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts Statewide Procurement Division and is classified under National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP) Code 45000. The contract comprises two line items, with the primary item priced at $172.96 and a secondary item at no charge. Both items are scheduled for delivery on June 22, 2026, with no advance notice required from the municipality.

Grainger, a national supplier headquartered in Austin, Texas, supplied the specified materials under this straightforward purchase order transaction. As a political subdivision of the State of Texas, CPS Energy is exempt from federal excise taxes and applicable state and local sales taxes under the contract terms. The minimal contract value and expedited two-day delivery window indicate this represents a routine, spot-buy procurement of supplies rather than a comprehensive requirements contract or longer-term service engagement.
