The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) awarded a Texas Multiple Award Schedule (TXMAS) contract to W.W. Grainger, Inc., located in Austin, Texas, on July 23, 2025. The contract, identified as TXMAS-25-45002, involves the procurement of a single Grainger item with a unit price of $201.78, resulting in a total contract value of $201.78. The purchase order (PO No. 25216075) was processed through the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts' Statewide Procurement Division, with the state claiming tax exemption under Texas Tax Code, Section 151.309(4).

The contract appears to be a state-level procurement vehicle specifically designed for the exclusive use of the State of Texas or its political subdivisions. W.W. Grainger, Inc., serving as the prime contractor, will provide the specified Grainger item to the Texas Department of Public Safety. The transaction is structured under the TXMAS contract, which facilitates streamlined purchasing processes for government entities within the state. While specific details about the exact nature of the Grainger item are not provided, the contract demonstrates a targeted, low-value procurement action consistent with standard state government purchasing protocols.
