Hourly rate for field fire alarm technician

The Texas State Preservation Board (Contracting Organization 809) awarded a purchase order to Koetter Fire Protection Of Austin, LLC dba Pye-Barker for field fire alarm technician services. The contract, designated TXMAS-22-93601, was executed on May 14, 2026, with a delivery completion date of May 28, 2026. The prime contractor, located in Pflugerville, Texas, was engaged to provide 76 hours of field fire alarm technician labor at an hourly rate of $99.88, resulting in a cumulative contract value of $7,590.88.

The procurement was processed through the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts Statewide Procurement Division with Patty Ruiz designated as the agency purchaser. The contract was issued as a purchase order under an existing Texas Maintenance Agreement and Supply (TXMAS) contract vehicle, with the State of Texas claiming exemption from Federal Excise Taxes and applying applicable state and city sales tax exemptions under Texas Tax Code Section 151.309(4). The relatively short performance period of 14 days indicates this was a discrete, time-limited engagement for specified fire alarm technical services.
