Laboratory Equipment, Accessories, and Supplies: Biochemistry, Chemistry, Environmental Science, etc.

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) awarded a TXMAS (Texas Multiple Award Schedule) contract to Government Scientific Source, Inc. for laboratory equipment and supplies. The contract, identified by TXMAS-21-49301, covers biochemistry, chemistry, and environmental science laboratory materials, with a specific line item for Pyrex Low Actinic 500ml Round Media Storage Bottles. The contract was awarded on March 25, 2025, with a scheduled completion date of July 14, 2025.

The contract's line item details a purchase of one case of 51395-500 Pyrex Low Actinic 500ml Round Media Storage Bottles at a unit price of $159.59. The cumulative contract value is listed as one hundred fifty-nine dollars, which appears potentially inconsistent with the line item pricing. The contract is a state-level indefinite delivery vehicle (IDV) that enables the Texas Department of Public Safety to procure specialized laboratory equipment and consumable supplies through a pre-negotiated contract vehicle, facilitating streamlined purchasing for scientific research and operational needs.
