Contract 26243993

The State of Texas Department of Public Safety (Agency 405) awarded a term contract to Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations, LLC for the procurement of tires and tubes. The contract, designated as 863-C1, was executed on April 23, 2026, with performance completion scheduled for June 30, 2027. The prime contractor, Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations, LLC, is headquartered at 200 4th Avenue South, Nashville, Tennessee. The contract encompasses a single line item for one tire at a unit price of $119.89, resulting in a cumulative contract value of $119.89. The State of Texas has claimed a sales tax exemption under Texas Tax Code Section 151.309(4) for this procurement of tangible personal property for exclusive state use.

This procurement was processed through the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts' Statewide Procurement Division as an offline sale purchase order under National Institute of Governmental Purchasing Code 86305. The purchase order was authorized by Bobby Pounds on behalf of the Statewide Procurement Division and directed shipment to the United States. The term contract structure and extended performance period through June 30, 2027, suggest this may represent a framework agreement for ongoing tire procurement needs beyond the single tire specified in the initial purchase order documentation.
