Tires and Tubes

The State of Texas Department of Public Safety (Agency 405) awarded a term contract to Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations, LLC for the procurement of tires and tubes. The contract, identified as 26208631, was executed on December 17, 2025, with a completion date of June 30, 2027. The initial purchase order (PO No. 26208631) reflects a single line item for one tire at a unit price of $171.05, resulting in a cumulative contract value of $171.05. Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations, LLC is headquartered at 200 4th Avenue South, Nashville, Tennessee 37201.

The procurement was conducted through the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts Statewide Procurement Division under National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP) Code 86307. The State of Texas claims a sales tax exemption under Texas Tax Code Section 151.309(4) for tangible personal property exclusively used by the state, and the purchase is exempt from Federal Excise Taxes as noted in the contract terms. While the initial order value is nominal, the term contract structure with performance extending through June 30, 2027 suggests potential for additional purchases and line items under this master procurement agreement.
