Tires and Tubes

The State of Texas, Department of Public Safety (Agency 405), awarded a term contract to Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations, LLC for the procurement of tires. The contract, identified as Term 26207629, was executed on November 7, 2025, with a completion date of June 30, 2027. The initial purchase order (No. 26207629) reflects a cumulative value of $1,020.60 for one tire unit procured under National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP) Code 86307. Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations, LLC, headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, serves as the prime contractor for this engagement.

The procurement was processed through the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts – Statewide Procurement Division. The State of Texas has claimed an exemption from all Federal Excise Taxes and state and local sales taxes under Texas Tax Code Section 151.309(4), as the property is being procured exclusively for use by the State of Texas or a Texas political subdivision. While the initial order value is modest, the underlying term contract extends through June 30, 2027, establishing a framework for ongoing tire procurement requirements by the Department of Public Safety.
