Tires and Tubes

The Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division (TDCJ ITD) has awarded a term contract to Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations, LLC for tire procurement. The contract, identified as 26062034, was executed on September 16, 2025, with a performance period extending through June 30, 2027. The initial purchase order covers one tire at a unit price of $152.22, with the order processed through the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts' Statewide Procurement Division.

The contract's shipping destination is the TDCJ ITD Maintenance Depot located in Huntsville, Texas. The purchase is tax-exempt under Texas Tax Code, Section 151.309(4), as the property is being acquired for exclusive state use. While the total contract value appears limited based on the available documentation, the term contract structure suggests potential for additional tire purchases during the specified performance period. The procurement follows standard state government contracting protocols, with Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations, LLC serving as the prime contractor for this tire supply agreement.
