Liquid Herbicide For Grassland Sites, Tote, Dimethylamine Salt

The Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division (Agency 696) awarded a term contract to Orion Solutions, LLC, a Virginia-based contractor, for the supply of agricultural herbicides. The contract, designated 26264845, was executed on May 18, 2026, with a cumulative value of $14,310.00. The procured item consists of three totes of Liquid Herbicide for Grassland Sites formulated as a Dimethylamine Salt product, manufactured by Alligare under the commercial name Grassmaster, at a unit price of $4,770.00 per tote.

Delivery of the herbicide is specified for the Clemens Unit Farm Office located in Brazoria, Texas, with an Arrived on Request delivery schedule of ten days from the order date, positioning delivery for May 28, 2026. The purchase order references an internal completion date of March 31, 2026, though this appears inconsistent with the May 2026 award and delivery dates documented in the purchase order. The State of Texas is exempt from federal excise taxes and state and local sales taxes under Texas Tax Code Section 151.309(4), as the property is designated for exclusive state use.
