About this award
California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) awarded a telecommunications contract to Verizon Wireless on January 22, 2026, with a total contract value of $6,863.92. The contract procures mobile computing devices and associated accessories to support CAL FIRE operations within the State of California.
The primary deliverables consist of eight Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max 256GB units in Deep Blue (SKU: MFXJ4LL/A) at a state cost of $749.99 per unit, eight BoostCharge USB-C Wall Chargers 20W (SKU: BBC034-WH-TL), and a California Community Business Enterprise waste fee of $15.00 per unit. The line items reflect a net procurement structure that removes full retail pricing in favor of California-negotiated state rates, resulting in a cumulative savings mechanism within the contract structure.
