The California Military Department awarded a telecom contract (No. 0000018699) to Verizon Wireless on August 20, 2026, with a contract amount of $1,426.49. The contract encompasses the procurement of telecommunications equipment and associated regulatory compliance costs. The line items include a California Sales and Use Tax assessment of $122.50 for cellular devices, a California Covered Battery and E-Waste Recycling Fee of $4.00, and an iPad Pro 11-inch model with M5 processor and 256-gigabyte storage capacity priced at $1,299.99.

The contract represents a single procurement transaction under California Military Department authorization CMD-26-025. While specific performance locations and contract performance periods are not detailed in the award documentation, the contract is executed within the State of California. The relatively modest total contract value reflects what appears to be an equipment acquisition for state military operations rather than an ongoing service engagement.
