The Florida Department of Transportation awarded a contract to Alvarez Plumbing on August 18, 2026, for comprehensive hydroscrub and pipe cleaning services. The contract, valued at $3,528.00, is scheduled for completion by August 31, 2026. The scope of work encompasses descaling and debris removal from the plumbing systems serving both male and female restroom facilities across two floors of a Department of Transportation facility.

The service delivery includes access to wall cleanouts and the use of a flex shaft with chain descaler to eliminate calcium and scale buildup from interior pipes. Alvarez Plumbing will extend a sewer cable to exterior cleanouts located at the facility's front northwest corner, connect a jetter apparatus, and retract it through both bathroom groups to complete the hydroscrub operation. The contract deliverables include a complementary camera inspection to verify the complete removal of all scale and debris from the piping system.
