Type of Request: Ater the Fact Explanation/Justification: Management stated that gases wouldn't be…

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission awarded contract C7B1B1 on July 22, 2026, for the provision of gas cylinders. The contract, valued at $1,784.98, covers 1,784 units at $1.00 per unit and will be performed at the National Forests Service (NFS) facility. The period of performance extends from the award date through June 30, 2027.

This after-the-fact purchase order request addresses an inventory management discrepancy in which nine cylinders were retained in fiscal year 2025-2026 despite initial determinations that gases would not be required. The contract formalizes payment for the retained cylinders and establishes a preventative measure through a separate purchase order request for cylinder leasing in fiscal year 2026-2027 to avoid future similar occurrences. Supervisory approval has been documented, and justification for proceeding has been provided based on the Commission's current possession of the equipment.
