The Florida Department of Environmental Protection has awarded a contract (C6493C) to provide web hosting services for the Operation Recreation GeoTour, a geocaching initiative within Florida State Parks. The contract, valued at $5,000, covers a one-year period from October 15, 2025, to October 15, 2026, and will support the maintenance of a collection of geocaches listed on geocaching.com.

The service includes a comprehensive package featuring web hosting, a customized landing page, banner advertisements on Geocaching.com, and promotional support through newsletters, blogs, and social media channels. The contract enables geocachers to engage in a self-guided tour of Florida's state parks, with each geocache location offering family-friendly activities and highlighting interesting local facts and stories. An advance payment is required under Florida Statutes and Administrative Code, as the services are deemed essential to the state agency's operations.
